Course Volunteer Orientation
Welcome Volunteer - Marshals, Standard Bearers, & Walking Scorers
This page applies to Course Operation Committees including Marshals, Standard Bearers (SB) and Walking Scorers (WS). Please find your current committee assignment below and read for further instructions! We want to thank you for being a part of our 2021 Barbasol Championship Volunteer Team. As you are aware we are still in need of additional volunteers to help out with certain course activities. We have asked our Marshal, Standard Bearer and Walking Scorer volunteers who are willing and able to add shifts or play double roles to help us with some of these functions. We want to thank everyone that has already stepped up raised their hand and agreed to play dual roles. For everyone else we have put together this page to help explain how this process works:

After reviewing the resources on this page, if you have any further questions, I'd be more than happy to help.
Marshals
Marshals are being asked to help play a dual role as a Spotter or a ShotLink LBO Operator while continuing to be a Marshal. To confirm your interest and or availability during Uniform Pickup (see hours of operation below) we will have a separate uniform pickup area for Marshals. When you pickup your uniform you will be asked you confirm the following:
1. Are you willing and able to help us with a dual role being a Marshal and if requested also be a:
a) Spotter or
b) ShotLink Operator or
c) You prefer to just be a Marshal?
By saying yes to being a spotter or a ShotLink Operator (LBO) then you will be asked to sign the ShotLink Waiver.
2. Anyone willing to be called to double up as a Spotter
a) Will be invited to attend a hands-on training Wednesday, July 14 at 3:00PM
b) We encourage you to watch the ShotLink Spotter Training video below before attending the hands-on session.
3. Anyone willing to double up as a ShotLink Laser Based Operator (LBO)
a) Will be invited to join in a virtual training on Saturday, July 10 at 6:00PM or Monday, July 12 at 7:00PM
b) Will be invited to attend a ShotLink LBO hands-on training on Wednesday, July 14 during the Pro-Am. This training will be 30 minutes long and can be individually scheduled between 2 and 4:00PM
c) This year due to our lack of time we will allow Marshals to be called to operate a ShotLink station by just taking the virtual and the Hands-on trainings. These trainings will show you that these stations are EASY to operate. Having said this if you have the time and want to take the traditional self-training/certification course that ShotLink operators typically take then please navigate directly to Skillo by typing myskillo.com in your browser window. To log in and view the training, enter the email address you provided to the Tournament. This will prompt a temporary password that will be sent to that email so you can complete the log in process.
4. If you just want to stay as a Marshal or if you are a Marshal for the first time then we encourage you to watch the Marshal Training Video below. You can view this training at your convenience so we are removing the “mandatory” requirement for the Marshal Training that was previously announced. Please reach out to your chairperson if you have any additional questions or if you want to swing by on Wednesday, July 14 during Pro-Am day to get familiar with your working area during the tournament!
