The Barbasol Championship’s charitable arm, Caddie127, connects a biblical connotation from James 1:27 “to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world.” Just as Caddies and their players support one another, so will Caddie127 support philanthropic organizations that benefit and empower women and children. Caddie127 has named All God’s Children, Kentucky Children’s Hospital (UK Healthcare), the Make-A-Wish Foundation, Refuge for Women, Sunrise Children’s Services, and the Woodhill Community Center as their 2021 charitable partners.
MISSION: All God’s Children provides care and support to young mothers and their children and families. Through Christ-centered ministries, our non-profit organization offers safe, temporary shelter and programs which address their physical, emotional, education and spiritual needs. By offering sufficient support and life skills, we believe that young women can move beyond challenging circumstances to become loving parents and productive citizens.
MISSION: Kentucky Children’s Hospital – part of University of Kentucky HealthCare -- is more than a hospital. It’s a promise to provide the most advanced care for kids across the Commonwealth. Our team of doctors, nurses, therapists, surgeons and specialists are devoted to one thing: getting kids back to being kids again.
MISSION: Refuge for Women is a non-profit, faith-based organization providing specialized long-term care for women who have escaped human trafficking or sexual exploitation. With multiple locations across the U.S., Refuge for Women offers up to twelve months of safe housing, at no charge to the resident, with around-the-clock care as clients progress through evidence-based, trauma-informed programming. The compassionate staff is trained to help residents work through the program to reclaim their identities and reach their goals to overcome addictions, heal from trauma and develop life skills leading to healthy, balanced living and financial independence.
MISSION: Sunrise Children’s Services operates three therapeutic residential centers, one psychiatric residential treatment center, five foster care regions with 11 foster care offices, family services, and an independent living program that helps aging-out kids. Sunrise Children’s Services provides care for close to 1,000 kids and family members throughout the state of Kentucky.
MISSION: Together Lexington Leadership Foundation (LLF) and the MAP Foundation, seek to address many of the present needs in Woodhill through the building of a 20,000 square-foot facility that opened in May 2018. The Woodhill Community Center focuses on ACADEMICS, ARTS and ATHLETICS for the community’s urban children, youth and families expanding the number we serve with this permanent location.
